1.      An Introduction:

You may be a friend finally realizing that you’re about to go almost five months without my ridiculousness and giggles, a family member worried about your little girl off so far away, or a Goffstown or Stonehill community member interested in learning more about study abroad and what may lay ahead in South Africa – welcome! If I don’t bore you early on  - hang in there it will be an adventure!  I am new at this!

Two weeks!As I start to figure out how to pack and what to do I can’t believe in less than 2 weeks I will be settling in South Africa! I am so incredibly blessed with the generosity of  scholarships, grants, and family so that I can have this opportunity – along with those who helped me along the way for the support and loving boosts in confidence through this difficult journey to get here. Most of all, I’d like to initially thank the Benjamin A. Gilman scholarship program sponsored by the U.S. State Department for this journey. This blog will be updated about once a week throughout my stay in order to share my experience to family, friends, the Goffstown community, the Stonehill community, and the Gilman program.
